Andy's Home Page

My name is Andy Abo. I am a former graduate student at the University of California at Berkeley. My advisor was Paul Gray in the EECS Department. I work on the design of analog integrated circuits. My research concerned designing low-voltage, switched-capacitor circuits. I graduated in spring 1999.

Digital VLSI technology trends are pushing voltage supply scaling down to 1.5V and lower in the next decade. Technology compromises will need to be made if integrated analog circuits cannot operate at the same supply. My thesis project was a 1.5V 14MHz 10b CMOS Pipeline A/D converter. My emphasis has been on device reliability in low-voltage, switched-capactior circuit design. This project was supported by the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC).

I did my undergrad at Caltech.
