Europe 1995

In May, 1995, my friend Srenik and I went to Europe. We visited France, Switzerland, Italy and Greece. It was a blast. Here's a few photos.

Our trip started in Paris where, we met my sister Julie and my brother in-law Aaron in Paris. This is atop the Arc de Triomphe.

Here's Srenik trying to decide on a French wine...

After Paris, we took the TGV to Geneva. We visited the nearby Chateau de Chillion, which has a great self-guided tour.

After Geneva we went to Interlaken. We stayed at this youth hostel in Gimmelwald near Interlaken ala Rick Steve's guidebook. The views of Swiss Alps are spectacular, but you might only get a brief glimpse because the weather is pretty wet.

The view of the mountains from Gimmelwald.

After Interlaken we traveled to Venice. Here's one of the many canals.

After Venice, we stopped in Siena for an afternoon. Here's the view from the town tower.

Next we stopped in Rome for a few days. Here's the Forum with the Colloseum in the back.

From the southern tip of Italy, you can take a 24 hour boat ride to Greece. Here's Andy, Tony, and Srenik at the Parthenon in Athens.

From Athens, you can take a boat to any of the Greek islands. The "Red" beach on San Torini.
