I was a Post-Doc in the
Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
at the University of California at
Berkeley. My research activity at Berkeley was in the area of
CMOS
analog RF IC design. Specifically, my work focused on new
receiver architectures which facilate high levels of transceiver
integration in a low-cost, standard CMOS technology. A large component
of my Ph.D. work, centered on an
image-rejection mixer for a multi-standard CMOS receiver.
A later portion of this work was on a second generation multi-standard transceiver which attempted
to meet the specifications of the GSM and DECT standards (two popular european
commerical standards). All of this work was done under the auspices of my
advisor Professor Paul Gray.
During the fall of 1997, I was the lecturer of a short course entitled,
"Issues in RF IC Design" which is offered as a class through the
National Technological University. The course tapes may be obtained through the Berkeley
branch of NTU, better know as
CalVIEW.
For most of 2001 I was acting as both a consultant for a number of silicon valley
companies in addition to my post-doc position at Berkeley. In December of 2001, I accepted
a position at Berkana Wireless, a small silicon valley start-up with an emphasis on
CMOS RF. My current contact information as of December 2002 is:
